Gabriel Jesus Is Wanted At Arsenal FC

Gabriel Jesus, whose humble beginnings and journey won the hearts of many a few years back, was supposed to become the long term replacement of Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero. It’s fair to say that things have not played out that way. The club manager Pep Guardiola no longer sees Jesus as the main striker and often reverts to playing him as the right-winger.

As City has many options on their wings, Jesus thus struggles a lot due to lack of playing time. That’s why, despite starting 17 of the 24 matches he has featured in, he reportedly wants to leave the club. As things stand, Manchester City is also in pursuit of a new number 9 in the form of Erling Haaland this summer and this may result in Jesus forcing a move away from the Etihad.

Paulo Pitombeira, the agent of Gabriel Jesus, has reportedly met with Edu, the technical director of Arsenal to discuss the possibility of a move to Emirates. There are still no conclusive talks suggesting the occurrence of this move at all and Arsenal themselves are looking at a number of strikers at the moment before fixating their eyes on one.

Gabriel Jesus to reunite with Arteta?

Jesus already personally knows Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, as Arteta once served as the assistant of Guardiola at City. So, personal bonding and preferences may play a huge role before the finalization of this deal. If rumours are to be believed, Arsenal is also looking at the profile of Tammy Abraham amongst a few other strikers as possible solutions for their striker position.

With Alexandre Lacazette set to leave the club on a free transfer after the end of this season and the future of Eddie Nketiah still under doubt, Arsenal must solve their number 9 issue to become a force to reckon with next season onwards. So, the Gunners going for the 25 years old Brazilian is a huge possibility and can become one of the hot topics for the upcoming summer transfer window. Jesus wants to secure his place in the national team as a number 9 and Arteta’s Arsenal can provide him with exactly that.
