PSG star wants to move to Real Madrid; Los Blancos responds
RMC Sport of France claims that Marco Verratti’s transfer to Real Madrid is very improbable. The midfielder for PSG has shown interest in a transfer to Real Madrid, where he would earn €50 million more than at PSG. However, a summer transfer for the Italian international has been ruled out by the Merengues.
During his time at PSG, Marco Verratti established himself as a world-class midfielder. The 30-year-old Italian native has been playing with Les Parisiens since relocating to France in July 2012. His worth has increased to €50 million from its all-time high of €75 million 11 years ago.
Meanwhile, the Italian national has played over 400 times for PSG, contributing 11 goals and 61 assists. However, Verratti may leave PSG during the summer transfer window in search of fresh challenges. The French champions are also willing to sell the player if the price is right. The veteran midfielder has Real Madrid in his sights.
Carlo Ancelotti and the UEFA Euro 2020 champion have a good working connection. There have been rumours that he has already contacted Real Madrid’s management about a potential transfer this summer. On the other hand, Real Madrid could use a player of Verratti’s calibre.

Since the break for the 2022 FIFA World Cup ended, Aurelien Tchouameni has had a tough time. And Verratti can replace the Frenchman in Real Madrid’s central midfield. In addition, he can play the role of a box-to-box midfielder similar to that Luka Modric.
Ancelotti should be interested in signing Verratti because of his skill with the ball. A summer transfer is impossible since Real Madrid has decided not to pursue the 30-year-old. The PSG midfielder might, therefore, end up back in Italy. The transfer price is also expected to be low since PSG is not likely to try to block his move.
Meanwhile, relocation to Saudi Arabia is possible. Verratti is apparently willing to follow Lionel Messi after developing a close friendship with the Argentine superstar. It’s possible that a deal for Verratti will go through if Al Hilal signs Messi. But until the Merengues alter their minds, it’s quite doubtful that he’ll be joining Real Madrid.
