According to reports, resurgent Serie A champions Juventus are exploring a January trade for Real Madrid’s Eden Hazard

A little over three years ago, Eden Hazard made a dream transfer to Real Madrid, moving there from Chelsea. However, the international player from Belgium has had a terrible time at the Santiago Bernabeu. The player’s fitness problems have caused him to sink to the bottom of Real Madrid’s depth chart. And he hasn’t improved much so far this year.

Although he has started six of Real Madrid’s 20 games, the 31-year-old has only played 229 minutes of playing time this season. Los Blancos want to get rid of the disgruntled attacker during the next January transfer window. Many teams, including Juventus, are watching this scenario closely.

Juve had a terrible start to the 2022–23 season, almost finishing in the bottom half of the league. After losing to every club in their UEFA Champions League group, the Bianconeri also quietly exited the competition. However, Massimiliano Allegri’s team has shown signs of life in recent weeks.

The team from Turin is now riding a six-game winning streak in Serie A, which has propelled them to third place. After the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Allegri hopes to keep the momentum going by making smart additions during the January transfer window. The next winter may thus be spent focusing on the attack.

Ferran Torres is just one of numerous wide attackers who have been linked to Juventus in recent rumours. The rising Serie A giants might also make a run at Hazard. Because of the league’s structure, the Real Madrid reject might perhaps recapture his form and continue to play in the Champions League, albeit in the next season.

On the other hand, Hazard has lately said that he is willing to battle for his starting position. He continued, saying he is doing his hardest to establish himself as a regular for Real Madrid. Los Blancos want to cash in on him, but he has admirers like Newcastle United, Aston Villa, and Juventus who could like their chances this winter.
