Arsenal’s best lineup after Transfer Deadline Day

Now that the summer transfer window has shut down, teams are no longer allowed to transfer players in or out until the January transfer window. All clubs were very busy this summer as this transfer window is regarded as one of the best transfer windows of all time, with players like Messi, Ronaldo, Ramos, etc switching clubs. While PSG led the way forward, it was Arsenal who spent the most this transfer window as the club spent close to 160m, acquiring the services of players like Ben White, Martin Odegaard, Aaron Ramsdale, Nuno Tavares, Sambi Lokonga, and Takehiro Tomiyasu from Bologna.

Even though the Gunners spent the most amount of money, fans were left disappointed after the club failed to sign a central midfielder, a position Arsenal were struggling with. After finishing 8th last season, fans were furious and protested against the club which led to them spending 160m this season, but it is understood that they did not spend that amount of money the right way.

Other than Ben White, Martin Odegaard, and Takehiro, no other player is expected to be a starter as all of them are bought by the club as backups and bench players to strengthen the squad depth. A positive that did come out of this transfer window for Arsenal was that all the players the club signed were below the age of 23, thus making a smart and strong foundation for years to come.

What is Arsenal’s best lineup after Transfer Deadline Day?

Mikel Arteta will be looking to use the players he has got in the transfer window to the best of their abilities, using his most used system which is playing 4-2-3-1. In defence, new signing Ben White will play a key role alongside Gabriel, who was signed from Lille last season as well.

Tierney is the nailed left-back while we may see rotation at the right-back with Maitland-Niles and Takehiro putting in shifts. Xhaka and Partey will be partnering up in the midfield, while Odegaard will play as the CAM. Saka and Pepe will be on the wings considering their blistering pace and ability to dribble, while captain Aubameyang will be the striker up top and will be looking to bag goals this season for the Gunners as this would be Arsenal’s best lineup.
