Arsenal Regains Their Interest In Yves Bissouma

After missing out on Yves Bissouma in the summer transfer window, Arsenal have regained their interest in the Brighton midfielder. According to recent reports from The Times, Brighton are ready to sell the player before Monday’s deadline but are reportedly demanding 50m pounds for him. It is no secret that Mikel Arteta and the Gunners have been huge admirers of Bissouma. He has been a long-term target for the club for some time now.

Arsenal have missed out on two of their major midfield targets this summer which include Arthur Melo and Bruno Guimaraes. The deal collapsed with Juventus for Arthur due to several complications while Newcastle acquired the services of Guimaraes, leaving Arsenal with no signing so far this window.

Signing a midfielder has been among the top priorities for the Gunners this window. No doubt they have the funds to go for Bissouma but with the deadline approaching this Monday, it will be certainly very difficult to get a deal done within the time left. To make things easier for Arsenal, Brighton have allowed the player to leave but they want 50m in exchange.

Why Yves Bissouma is the perfect midfielder for Arsenal

Bissouma partnered up with Partey in the heart of the midfield is every Arsenal fans’ dream. Having Bissouma in the pivot will allow Partey to move up the pitch and play in his natural position. Arsenal also lack quality and depth in their midfield, another problem that might be solved by Bissouma.

Yves is already Premier League proven, so adapting to a new team in the same league would be very easy. Bissouma is not only capable of winning the ball and putting in aggressive interceptions but is also capable of driving the ball forward and pouncing on any attacking opportunities. With just few hours left, lets see if Arsenal can make the move.
