Liverpool had a tough start to their return-leg fixture that would go on to star a phenomenal 2-0 lead, restoring parity in the aggregates between the English stalwarts and Villareal. Sadly, for the latter they would be razed into smithereens in the second half as Liverpool would hammer them left, right and center.
Real Madrid will be coming to this fixture with a staggering 13 Champions League titles while Liverpool has six Champions League titles in their ranks which makes them the joint team with the third-highest number of teams. A win for Liverpool will make them the joint second-highest winner of the hallowed silverware with seven UCL titles.

The match is all set to be hosted in the iconic Stade de France in Saint-Denis, France, which is located just outside of Paris. The venue plays host to 80000 people and opened its gates to people in 1998. This is the third time a Champion’s League finale will be hosted in the scene after 2000 and 2006.
A slight change in the final venue:
The match was originally scheduled to be played at Krestovsky Stadium in Saint Petersburg, Russia before UEFA decided to relocate the venue to France.
