The ratings also take into account important stats from league matches which would encompass the parameters such as goals, assists, clean sheets, pass success percentage and man of the match performances. With all said and done, Messi’s rating is 7.71 which is 3rd on the entire list.

However, Bayern Munich sharp-shooter, Robert Lewandowski aces the charts with a staggering rate of 7.93 while Messi’s French teammate at PSG, Kylian Mbappe is in the second position with 7.91.

Surprisingly, Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema, the fore-runner in this year’s Balon d’Or run, is ranked in the fourth position on the points table. He has bagged a rating of 7.68.
