Twitter Reacts To Karim Benzema’s Hat Trick Against PSG
In what proved to be one of the most intense knockout games in UCL history, Real Madrid triumphed over PSG as they advance to the semi-finals of the tournament. Going into the second leg, PSG were leading 1-0 on aggregate after Mbappe found a late winner for his team in the first leg. And while Real Madrid were favorites for the second leg, it was Kylian Mbappe again who silenced the crowd by scoring the opener in the Bernabeu. But Karima Benzema’s plans began later.
It seemed like a mountain to climb for the Los Blancos going into the second half. They had to score at least 2 to draw and 3 to secure a win. After numerous missed chances, Karim Benzema’s finally brought his team back to life as he capitalized on Donnarumma’s mistake. Little did PSG know that this error would lead to their exit from the competition.
Karim Benzema; Real Madrid’s hero
After scoring one, Karim Benzema was on the hunt for more. Much like his current form, the number 9 tends to score consecutively after scoring his first. Luka Modric found out Benzema through a brilliant pass in the box which further lead to Real Madrid’s second goal.
Soon after scoring a brace, the Frenchmen pounced upon another opportunity and scored his third goal, minutes after scoring his second. PSG players stood there in shock as the Santiago Bernabeu erupted. Real Madrid proving it yet again why they are the best team in the history of the UCL by pulling off a miracle at their home.
This performance by Karim Benzema’s and his team will surely go down as one of the best ever in UCL knockout matches. With this, Carlo Ancelotti’s men will be hungry to win the UCL as we look at some tweets regarding the game.
