Arsenal drew to Brighton in a hard-fought game at The Amex stadium this evening as Brighton hosted Arsenal in the seventh game of the season. Arsenal were coming off from a very strong and dominating win against Tottenham in which they won 3-1, while Brighton on the other hand drew to Crystal Palace away from home in their previous match. The Gunners were looking for favourites to win this game as they were full of confidence and were looking to continue their winning streak in this match as well. But Graham Potter’s men had other ideas as they totally dominated the game.
From the very first minute to the end, Brighton were all over Arsenal and did not give them many chances to score. They dominated in terms of ball possession as well as they had 58% compared to Arsenal’s 42%, the men in blue were very unlucky to score even a single goal after having an xG (expected goals) of 1.16 compared to the Gunners who had only 0.38. The likes of Aubameyang, Saka, and Smith Rowe couldn’t do much today as Arsenal failed to find the back of the net this evening.
In terms of total shots as well, Aaron Ramsdale had more work to do than Sanchez as Aaron faced a total of 21 shots while Sanchez faced only 8. Arsenal were losing patience as things were not going their way which led them to concede 5 fouls as well.
Arsenal fans on Twitter were left disappointed as they expected Mikel Arteta to guide them to a win this evening. While some of them protested against Mikel, many praised the likes of Ramsdale and Gabriel, who put out yet another brilliant display as they kept a clean sheet. We look at how Twitter reacted as Arsenal and Brighton shared points amongst themselves in a hard-fought 0-0 in the Premier League this evening.

Arsenal: pressed vs Spurs and won easily.
Arsenal a week later: didn’t press Brighton and scraped a lucky draw.

Arsenal players need to do this to Partey when he lines up a shot. pic.twitter.com/LZ3w1wZNlw

Not a bad point in the end for Arsenal, who were second best throughout the 90 minutes. Smith Rowe very good, but below par performances elsewhere.
Three wins and one draw from this patch of games has been a good return ahead of the international break. pic.twitter.com/MbpXvDx64T
