#5 Gabriel Martinelli vs Newcastle United, 27th November

Straight off the bench and straight amongst the goalscorers, Gabriel Martinelli was just what Arsenal needed as he doubled their lead over Newcastle United. A wonderful cross whipped in by Takehiro Tomiyasu converted by Martinelli. As he found the back of the net with a brilliant volley as he was making a run.

To top it all off, it was the Brazilian’s first touch in the game as well. This not only secured Arsenal 3 points but also boosted Martinelli’s morale and helped him find his rhythm. He went on to score 4 more goals in just 6 games that followed.

#4 Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang vs Tottenham Hotspur, 26th September

Aubameyang scoring in the North London Derby certainly rings a lot of bells. The Gabon international finished off a brilliant team goal which secured the Gunners a win over their arch-rivals, Tottenham Hotspur. Emile Smith Rowe passed to Aubameyang who flicked it back to the number 10 who further glided past Spurs’ defenders and finally assisted Auba who eventually, smashed it in the back of the net.

If this wasn’t enough for Arsenal fans, Aubameyang then went on to pull off the iconic knee slide celebration which club legend Thierry Henry did against Tottenham in his days.

#3 Kieran Tierney vs West Bromwich Albion, 2nd January

While it does seem odd seeing Tierney in this list, his goal against WBA was just simply too good to ignore. Swaying past defenders while wearing a half sleeve jersey in the snow is something only Kieran Tierney can pull off, and he certainly lived up to the task.
