Despite failing to wring out a win against Sassuolo after being depleted numerically, Fiorentina witnessed all the attention of the world turning towards their seraphic striker, Dusan Vlahovic. The big Serbian has been in impressive form and has belted out a masterclass that has seen him pulling off the unthinkable.
Sassuolo was riding high on a couple of early strikes from Gianluca Scamacca and Davide Fratessi. However, La Viola was not in Florence to be pegged back as their star youngster, Vlahovic hammered home to reduce the arrears while former Arsenal player, Lucas Torreira put the blanket on the fire to bring Fiorentina on level pegging.
The record bagged by Dusan Vlahovic
This strike from Vlahovic witnessed him equalling the record of Cristiano Ronaldo in Serie A as he bagged 33 goals from the season. Ronaldo chronicled this record the last year and this year witnessed him shifting his allegiance back to his erstwhile club, Manchester United.
Vlahovic has refused to sign an extension with La Viola as he has already been bombarded with a few lucrative offers from top-flight European clubs.
Out of the European suitors jousting for his signature, Manchester United leads the contest by a proverbial mile with Arsenal, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in hot pursuit.
It is a dream come true for many Manchester United fans to see the emerging star being coupled with Cristiano Ronaldo at the helm of affairs and his blistering speed will provide Ralf Rangnick’s gegenpress a charge of an endless battery upfront.
However, when a footballer racks up a record that was created by the best, the world takes notice and it was no exception in the case of Vlahovic either. As soon as he netted that opening strike for La Viola, the world came swarming around him to know more about this youngster.
Twitter couldn’t hold back their excitement with the youngster proliferating at a meteoric rate.
