Thomas Tuchel Expects Manchester United To Recover Under Erik ten Hag

Since his arrival in England, Thomas Tuchel has been a huge hit. The Chelsea manager has brought in success left and right for the Blues and has taken them on the path of success once again. As the saying goes, ‘Champions recognise champions’, Tuchel backed Manchester United to recover from their current misery of form sooner than later.

During the pre-match press conference against United, Tuchel was asked about the status of the club and to answer it, he said, “They will always recover”. Call it a mind game or a genuine backing – Thomas Tuchel definitely expects the Red Devils to make a comeback and become a force to reckon with.

Can Manchester United ‘Recover’ as per Thomas Tuchel?

The club has gone through a lot since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson. The appointment of a few big names in the following years did not go as planned and the supporters found them deep in the pothole within just a few seasons. Despite winning a few cup competitions along the way, United finds itself outside of the top 4 bracket at the moment.

As things stand, the hopes of them finishing in the top 4 is quite less but amidst all these, the supporters have something to look forward to from next season onwards. The appointment of current Ajax manager Erik ten Hag as the new manager of Manchester United has instilled hope in the hearts of many of their fans.

Along with a great track record as the manager of Ajax, Ten Hag is well known for his man-managerial prowess, something that is much needed at old Trafford. Looking at the current squad, the majority of the footballers do not suit the profile this club carries. A lot of them want to leave as soon as possible. So, Ten Hag would definitely find him in a difficult situation soon after stepping in.

On one hand, he reportedly wants a number of players out and on the other hand, if rumours are to be believed, the board wants to bring in a few big names to back their new manager. All in all, the sun may rise once again at Old Trafford and Tuchel’s words may just become true within a few seasons from now.
