Real Madrid Will Demand £50 Million For Chelsea And Manchester United Target
Real Madrid News Transfer: As reported by the Hard Tackle, Real Madrid is not in an urgency to sell Ferland Mendy but could sell him if they get the right offer.
Currently, Manchester United and Chelsea have shown strong interest in the fullback.
The French defender had joined Madrid from Lyon in 2019 and he has been a good signing for them. The 27-year-old has 105 appearances for Los Blancos and has nine goals and five assists to his name.
Mendy’s changes of playing in the starting XI are in question after Real Madrid secured a move for Antonio Rudiger. The Chelsea center-back will be surely starting every match, which will push David Alaba to the full-back spot.
This could limit his chances and therefore, it would be reasonable for him to leave rather than be benched. However, there are still chances of him playing more often as Ancelotti may switch roles alternatively.
As things stand, Real Madrid will not allow him to leave if their asking price is met. Anything less than £50m will not be acceptable for the Spanish side.
Real Madrid News Transfer: Would A Move To A Foreign Club Make Sense As He Is Already Playing In World’s Best Club?
Manchester United and Chelsea didn’t have any contact with the player or his agent. However, they are still interested in a deal.
But for Manchester United, it is not an urgency, as they have Telles and Luke Shaw in those areas. Ten Hag is already looking for other targets to cover the full-back position. But it is not his top priority this season.
Meanwhile, for Chelsea, they need to sign a full-back as Marcos Alonso is surely going to join Barcelona this summer. He has expressed his intentions to Thomas Tuchel that he will leave and Chelsea needs a replacement urgently.
It would make sense for Mendy to join Chelsea only if he feels that he can’t get any chance to play in the starting XI.
