Real Madrid is ready to sign Jude Bellingham next summer? What’s the status right now?
According to Marca, Real Madrid is planning to utilize the same tactic that helped them sign Aurelien Tchouameni in order to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund next year.
Madrid is aware that there may be competition from other clubs that may pay the Englishman more money and make greater ‘promises’ to sign with them. Nevertheless, the weight of the club’s history, both in the past and in the present, might swing the balance in their favor and change the tide.
This is the tactic that they used in order to tug at Tchouameni’s heartstrings and bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, in spite of the considerable interest shown by Liverpool. In addition to this, it is said that Los Blancos began preparing the groundwork for a possible transaction around a year ago.
The current holders of the La Liga title are certain that he is the kind of player they should bring in to further strengthen their midfield. They are also not concerned with the rumored price tag of €100 million for him.
Both his club and his nation rely on Bellingham on a consistent basis since he is one of the most talented midfielders in his age group. He joined Dortmund in the summer of 2020 after previously playing for Birmingham City, and has appeared in 102 games in all competitions for Dortmund, during which he has recorded 14 goals and 20 assists.
The teenager was given the starting nod for five of England’s six matches in UEFA Nations League A Group 3 this year and is a shoo-in to reach Gareth Southgate’s shortlist of 26 players for the World Cup. After the current season is over, it is obvious that he will have plenty of potential partners to choose from.
It is thought that Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea are also interested in acquiring the services of the aforementioned former Birmingham City player. Bellingham presently receives earnings of £49,000 per week, which is equivalent to €43,080 per week. If he is to relocate away from the Westfalenstadion, this would almost certainly result in a salary increase for Bellingham.
At the conclusion of the 2020–21 campaign, Real Madrid completed the transfer of 19-year-old Eduardo Camavinga from Stade Rennais. A year later, they made the transfer from AS Monaco to get Tchouameni (22).
This infusion of fresh talent into their midfield comes at a time when veteran players like Luka Modric (37), and Toni Kroos (32) are starting to show signs of deterioration. The 24-year-old Federico Valverde plays on the right wing at the moment, but it is anticipated that he will go back into the midfield if Toni Kroos and Luka Modric depart the club.
Next year, both players will be free agents, and Real Madrid’s midfield could use Bellingham to complete the puzzle they have been trying to put together.
Despite Tchouameni’s arrival, there is still a hole in the team that has to be addressed as a result of Casemiro’s transfer to Manchester United earlier this summer.
