WATCH: Mesut Ozil Refuses To Mention Arsenal In A Video With A Fan

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has disappointed supporters by declining to mention the club’s name in a TikTok video. It has gone viral on social media.

Mesut Ozil became the North London club’s record signing in 2013. He arrived in a £42.5 million deal from Real Madrid on the eve of the transfer deadline.

He went on to make 254 appearances for the club. Ozil has scored 44 goals and provided 72 assists in the process.

However, towards the conclusion of his time at the club, the World Cup champion was effectively locked out by Mikel Arteta. The player suffered exclusion from both the Europa League and Premier League teams.

After the Premier League suffered suspension in March 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Ozil did not put on an Arsenal jersey again.

And it seems as if he is making an effort to forget that he ever played for the club in the first place. A fan donning an Arsenal jacket took a selfie video with a Fenerbahce player. The video was posted on TikTok and shared with the world.

Specifically, he had instructed him to repeat, “Ya Gunners ya,”. It is a word he would use in his videos and even as a hashtag on social media sites like Twitter.

Ozil, on the other hand, was not having any of it and said, “No, no, that’s not going to happen.”

It looks as if the fan was unsuccessful in his attempts to secure Ozil’s autograph on an Arteta Arsenal jersey, as shown by a tweet made before the meeting with the German star. Now, we have to wait and see what the Arsenals supporters think of this. However, it is obvious that Ozil won’t have fond memories of Arsenal.
