Manchester United Winter Window Transfer Round-Up

As the winter transfer window met its conclusion, Manchester United supervised up to a staggering eight departures out of which seven were temporary while one of United’s upcoming stars left Old Trafford to seek a brighter future.


The first move away from Manchester United was that of Teden Mengi who shifted his allegiance to Birmingham City for the remainder of the season. The young defender showed promise on his introduction to the Championship juggernauts and will be joined by a wily Tahith Chong once the Netherlands international regains his full fitness.

Axel Tuanzebe bagged another transfer in the winter window as his loan at Aston Villa came to an end. This time the young center-back was bound to Italy as Napoli snapped him up for the remainder of the season.


The defensive ranks of Manchester United witnessed another shuffle of interest as Ethan Laird switched his loyalties from Swansea City to Bournemouth who is closer to the finishing line in terms of promotion. However, he is still to gain a playing side in the squad as his injuries are still prevalent.

Anthony Martial who was the least pleased of all in the United echelons managed to prise out a Spanish deal as Sevilla onboarded the French international to bolster their firepower. Sevilla is currently in the second position of the points table in La Liga, just four shy of league leaders, Real Madrid.

The man who git a permanent move away from Old Trafford was Dillon Hoogeworf who bagged a move to German contingency, Borussia Monchengladbach.
