Juventus are looking into financially realistic options for a substitute for Dusan Vlahovic. Alexandre Lacazette is surfacing as a possible target in the summer transfer window.
According to Calciomercato, Juventus is interested in signing Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette on a free transfer in the summer of 2022. The Frenchman may soon leave the club on a free transfer. There is still a chance that the striker may remain at the Emirates. However, a move to Turin may be more enticing to him right now.
Alexandre Lacazette’s long-term future at Arsenal is becoming a hotly debated topic. Even though the striker is continuing to exceed Mikel Arteta’s expectations. Arsenal has so far postponed talks over a new contract until the summer. While Arteta hasn’t explicitly ruled out the possibility of the striker signing a new contract, the likelihood of a Bosman transfer is growing with each passing day.
Following Arsenal’s victory over Watford, Lacazette registered two assists. Arteta once again refused to comment on his contractual position. Regardless of what happens with the Frenchman’s immediate future, the Gunners are expected to make a significant transfer for a striker or two during the summer transfer window.
Numerous clubs are vying for Lacazette’s services, as seen by his outstanding performances. His possible availability as a free transfer makes a potential move all the more intriguing to prospective employers. When asked if they could afford the forward’s salaries, his former club Lyon revealed that they intend to get him back into the team.
The Old Lady is looking for a backup striker for Dusan Vlahovic
Juventus have now entered the hunt for the striker. The Turin giants see the Frenchman as a potential replacement for Dusan Vlahovic in the starting lineup. Ironically, both players could have been on the field for Arsenal in January if the Serbian striker had accepted a contract offer from the north Londoners.
Juventus, on the other hand, may find themselves short of attacking options in the summer. Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata both may soon leave the club. If both of them depart, they would want quality replacements. Lacazette may be the ideal choice to come in and provide backup or competition for Vlahovic.
Furthermore, Lacazette’s availability as a result of a Bosman transfer makes him an even more appealing choice for Juventus. The Serie A giants have recently had financial difficulties. They are on the lookout for bargain acquisitions. After spending substantially on Vlahovic in January, they were able to recruit Denis Zakaria at a bargain price from Borussia Monchengladbach. They could make similar moves in the summer after paying heavily on Zakaria.
