A couple of nights back, Cristiano Ronaldo pulled off another heroic showdown against Italian stalwarts, Atalanta to salvage a point after some late drama. Manchester United trailed in the game for most of the time during both halves. It needed a couple of magical strikes for Ronaldo to steal away the smiles of Gasperini in the dying embers of the game.
This wasn’t the first time that Ronaldo denied a smile to Atalanta as in the preceding game, Manchester United turned around a 2-goal deficit to pump in three crucial goals that saw the Devils walking away with bragging rights and Gian Piero Gasperini could do very little about it.
This is what Gian Piero Gasperini had to say about the hug with Cristiano Ronaldo
The Italian boss was heard quoting that there is something magical about Ronaldo and when it comes to the European nights, he is altogether a different version of himself, a deadlier avatar who is always looking to score.
Gasperini was heard saying after the match in the conference, “Nine out of 10 of his shots are on target. Half of the time he shoots it goes in, the other half are saved by the goalkeeper.”

Gasperini and Ronaldo were seen embracing each other and the media was curious about what was said in that special moment. The Atalanta coach said, “I said something to him in Italian, but I can’t say it here on television. Basically, I said, ‘Come on, go for a walk’. Let him leave me alone.”
Cristiano Ronaldo has been in red hot form ever since his arrival at Manchester as he has scored 9 goals from 11 games in all competitions combined. In the Champions League, he has been a part of four games until now and has scored five goals.
He will be in action this weekend as Manchester United will be clashing against their City rivals and both the teams will be worried about their defence as City will be missing Laporte while United w;ill be without Varane.
