Fiorentina Looking Forward To Sign Three Real Madrid Players

It has been reported that Serie A side Fiorentina are interested in acquiring Real Madrid trio Alvaro Odriozola, Borja Mayoral, and Luka Jovic on a permanent basis, according to Fichajes.

After joining Real Madrid from fellow La Liga club Real Sociedad in the summer of 2018, Odriozola failed to make the type of impact that many anticipated him to. While on loan at Bayern Munich last season, he failed to make an impression when he returned to the Spanish capital club in the following season, despite playing in the Champions League.

Odriozola left Real Madrid in the summer of 2017 and joined Fiorentina on a season-long loan move from the Spanish club. With Real Madrid, he has made nine appearances in Serie A, each time contributing an assist. And it is now being reported that they want to sign him to a long-term contract at the conclusion of the current season.

However, Odriozola is not the only Real Madrid player that Fiorentina is interested in, with striker Borja Mayoral also a potential target for the Serie A club. The 24-year-old, a product of the Merengues’ development system, has made just 33 appearances with the first team, scoring seven goals in the process. He was a member of the Merengues’ junior academy.

Mayoral signed a two-year loan agreement with Italian heavyweights AS Roma in the summer of 2020. The Spaniard had a successful campaign his previous season but has struggled thus far this season. Fiorentina is interested in signing him as a possible replacement for star player Dusan Vlahovic, who is expected to leave the club in the January transfer window. New manager Jose Mourinho does not like him and wants to get rid of him as soon as possible, possibly as early as the January transfer window.

Luka Jovic, another out-of-favour striker from Real Madrid, is the third Real Madrid player whom the Viola are interested in signing on a free transfer. When he signed for Real Madrid from Eintracht Frankfurt in a high-profile transfer in 2019, the Serbian international created quite a stir. He has, on the other hand, battled mightily at the Bernabeu, scoring just twice in 39 appearances.

Jovic is garnering a lot of attention from clubs all across Europe as the January transfer window approaches, with Fiorentina among the clubs interested in bringing him to the capital. If the Italian club has the financial power to carry off these acquisitions, it will be fascinating to watch how they respond. Loan arrangements might potentially be worked out.
