Inter Milan defeated Viktoria Plzen 4-0 at home in their group-stage Champions League fixture. The Nerazzurri made 3 changes to the team for this match. Bastoni replaced Stefen De Vrij and Acerbi filled in for Darmian. Edin Dzeko returned to the squad as Correa stayed on the bench.
Inter vied for the lead in the 25th minute as Dzeko released Di Marco for the shot but it was shut down by a block from Stanek. Henrikh Mkhitaryan drew the first blood as he rounds off a cross from Bastoni through the flanks. The returning Edin Dzeko bagged a brace scoring just before halftime. Romelu Lukaku buried the game in the 87th minute after combing with Correa for a beautiful one-two play.
