The report comes from the German publication Bild. It claims that Bayern Munich is prepared to allow several players to leave the club.

Sabitzer is one of these players. He has had a bad season with Bayern Munich. Sabitzer joined Bayern Munich from RB Leipzig for a cheap £13.7 million transfer fee last summer.

Following Julian Nagelsmann to Bayern Munich felt like a natural progression for Sabitzer. He had previously excelled under him at Leipzig.

However, in Bavaria, something hasn’t quite clicked. During the current season, Sabitzer has appeared in just seven league games for Bayern, as well as one Champions League game.

According to recent reports, Bayern Munich is preparing to offload Sabitzer. Two teams are displaying interest in acquiring him.

Arsenal and Atletico Madrid are looking to bring Sabitzer back from Bayern Munich this summer. We shouldn’t be shocked by Arsenal’s interest, given their previous interest in buying Sabitzer from Leipzig in the summer of 2021.

Arsenal is also in dire need of a new midfielder this summer

Arsenal’s lack of midfield depth is visible as a result of Thomas Partey’s injury. Granit Xhaka continues to polarise opinion, while Albert Sambi Lokonga does not seem ready for a leading position in the Premier League.

Sabitzer has consistently produced at the top level. He may be precisely what Mikel Arteta is looking for.

While at Euro 2020, Sabitzer was outrunning N’Golo Kante because of his hard effort and ability to cover a tremendous amount of territory in midfield.

On the ball, Sabitzer has a knack for long-range goals and set pieces. This has led to comparisons between him and David Beckham on the official website of the Bundesliga.

Bayern Munich will almost certainly want a profit on Sabitzer’s sale. But Arsenal has a legitimate opportunity of acquiring the Austrian for a decent fee.

While Nagelsmann’s giving up does not seem to be in the best of spirits, Arsenal can potentially offer Sabitzer a bigger role and more consistent playing time in the future.
