Arsenal News Transfer: As reported by Corriere Dello Sport, Arsenal and Manchester United are facing a stiff battle to sign wantaway Real Madrid attacker Marco Asensio. This summer, the Spanish attacking midfielder could be sold by Los Blancos for £35m.

Asensio has entered the final month of his contract and he has to make a decision regarding his future. However, the 26-year-old goalkeeper will not favor the chance of staying another year.

Madrid is also not taking efforts to sign a new deal. He still had a solid season for the Spanish side as he made 42 appearances for Ancelotti’s side. He also scored 12 goals and provided two assists which impressed his suitors.

Arsenal has, therefore, started talking with his representatives this summer in order to strike a deal. Nicolas Pepe’s future is still hanging by a thread and Arsenal need to sign a replacement.

His experience in La Liga would help the Gunners as they failed to seal the Champions League spot this season. Also, he could be a regular for the Gunners under Mikel Arteta.

As things stand, even his wages will not cause any issue for the Gunners as they are not facing any financial issues.
