Arsenal Back In the Race To Sign Renato Sanches
Arsenal Still Wants A Quality Midfielder And Their Attention Is Back To Renato Sanches
It has been claimed that Arsenal is interested in signing Renato Sanches, a 24-year-old LOSC Lille talent. He will cost a fee of approximately €30m.
According to a recent report from Calciomercato, there has been an update on the future of Renato Sanches. The LOSC Lille talent is becoming more likely to leave the Ligue 1 club in quest of a fresh challenge in his career. In a recent interview, the midfielder did acknowledge that AC Milan and Arsenal are interested in signing him. He also stated that he is open to considering any offers he receives about a transfer away from Lille.
According to the report, AC Milan is in pole position to recruit Sanches as a result of their great connection with Lille. The current French champions, on the other hand, are reluctant to sell the 24-year-old for a low price. They estimate his worth at roughly €30m.
Sanches, who was formerly with Bayern Munich, has had tremendous success since joining Lille in the summer of 2019. He has made 79 competitive appearances throughout his two-and-a-half-year stay with the club. Sanches has gone on to himself as one of the team’s most talented performers. Last season, his performances were especially significant in leading Lille to a historic Ligue 1 championship victory, defeating Paris Saint-Germain in the process.
As well as on the domestic level, the 24-year-old has made an impact on the international stage. He has made an impression despite Portugal’s early exit from the UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers. His performances have not gone unnoticed. Arsenal and Milan are teams interested in signing him in January or the summer transfer window. According to reports, even Liverpool wants to sign him. Manager Jurgen Klopp is an admirer of Sanches and might engage in the equation.
Will Arsenal be able to sign Renato Sanches?
Renato Sanches’ projected €30m price tag, on the other hand, would make a team like Arsenal wary of signing him. Even though Mikel Arteta is keen on bringing in midfield reinforcements in January, the club’s buying binge over the summer means that they are unable to do so this month.
Arsenal wants a loan move for Juventus star midfielder Arthur Melo. However, it looks that the Italian club has no intention of loaning out its top player. Other possibilities, like Brazilian prodigy Danilo, have proven to be fruitless for the North Londoners as well.
Sanches, as a result, could have been a perfect target for Arteta’s team. Lille is refusing to sell the 24-year-old for less than €30 m. The Gunners may depend on player sales if they are to afford the Portuguese international. He is more than ready to take the next step in his professional career. Only time will tell if he can make an impact in England or not!!
