Here Is Why Tomiyasu May Not Be Available Against Crystal Palace

Arsenal will have to win against Palace to continue their momentum

After a woeful start to the Premier League, Arsenal managed to bounce back in the last few games, thanks to a rock-solid defence from Japanese sensation, Takehiro Tomiyasu and a few decent cameos from the others.

They started their campaign with a defeat at the hands of the newly-promoted Brentford. Things got much more complicated for Arteta and company as they were up against the European champions in the next round, with Chelsea clinching a convincing victory.

The surge in Arsenal’s slope

The Spanish manager breathed a sigh of reprieve as Arsenal secured a thumping victory over West Brom, but the hopes sank sooner than expected as Manchester City demolished the gunners with extreme prejudice.

Almost teetering on the fringes of further humiliation, Arsenal managed to find some footing, thanks to a decent outing against Norwich as Aubameyang hammered the solitary strike of the night to seal the deal.

They exhibited better form and shape against Burnley, thanks to a screamer from Martin Odegaard. The defence held absolutely firm and kept Burnley at bay.

The highlight of the season so far surrounding Tomiyasu

Things started working better for Arteta and company as they were clinical against Wimbledon in the cup and battered Spurs with a comprehensive display.

They were up against Brighton Hove and Albion next, and it needed some rollicking defence from Takehiro Tomiyasu and Ben White to plug the glaring gaps that were sparked by Ramsdale and Tierney.

If there was a man who has been in scintillating shape so far for Arsenal has been the Japanese defender. A no-nonsense defender with zero regards for caution when it comes to defence has been the new life force for Arsenal.

However, in the forthcoming clash against Crystal Palace, Tomiyasu will most likely be unavailable due to the Covid restrictions. Portuguese sensation, Cedric Soares will be in all probability taking his place. However, it is very difficult to plug the void that your best defender leaves in a tumbling season.
