3 Worst Rated Manchester United Players From Their Fiasco Against Liverpool

As an abysmal display at Old Trafford saw Manchester’s worst nightmare coming true, Mohammed Salah ran riot over his bitter rivals with consummate ease. It never felt like Manchester United was even close to a shadow of themselves, neither did it feel as if they were touted as one of the strongest contenders of the title when the tournament started.

Despite the initial three minutes of the game belonging to the hosts, the remaining 87 was entirely meant for a blistering showdown from the visitors.

The story of the last night between Manchester United and Liverpool

Naby Keita opened the scoring for Liverpool, tucking home a Salah through-ball past De Gea. A dawdling Maguire and Luke Shaw just saw the visitors surging past them in another fast maneuver that resulted in the second of the night after a deft one-two between Alexander Arnold and Naby Keita.

The Salah goal-fest began in the 38th minute as he smashed home the rebound from Naby Keita’s strike to make it 3-0 for Liverpool. The fourth goal came in the dying embers of the first half as the Egyptian skipper struck his brace, thanks to a sizzling assist from Diogo Jota.

The final nail on Manchester’s coffin came on the other side of the breather, as Salah scooted onto a stellar Henderson through to slot home a perfect finish.

In the wreckage of Manchester United’s bloody bodies at the Theatre of Dreams, the solitary silverlining of the night was Spanish custodian, David de Gea. Taking a quick look inside the trail of bodies at Old Trafford last night, we would pick for you the three players who secured the worst rating for themselves last night.

Harry Maguire – 2/10

The United captain has been exacerbating with every passing game, and the leaks that he has left in his devastating wake of fiascos have been glaring, to say the least. His speed seems to be on the decline, and that has cost Manchester United sharply in the last few games. He has zero knowledge about his surroundings and the players around him do not rally to his war cry, let’s just face it, there isn’t any at all. In fact, Ralph’s strident blare in the Lord of the Flies sounded a million times better.

Victor Lindelof – 1/10

Lindelof has been playing for United for a while now, and yet the awareness of his own surroundings that he has shown has been absolutely abysmal. The man has zero knowledge about his opponent’s positioning, and the way he is outrun every time is an eyesore for the United fans. He never wins an aerial tackle and is exceptionally slow in chasing down a marauding counterpart. Imagine him racing to thwart the mighty Egyptian.

Paul Pogba – Zero out of Ten

A hero for countless United fans on the last night where Manchester United turned around the game magically, Paul Pogba devolved as one of the most nefarious characters of the plot. A decent Greenwood was thrown under the guillotine to accommodate the French sensation, and all it took for him to get the marching orders was 15 minutes. At least the basic sense of the fact that a player was sacrificed to keep you in should have hit him instead of his arrogant ego that gets frustrated way too quickly.
