Real Madrid To Again Make A Bid For A Chelsea Player This Summer
N’Golo Kante, a key member of Chelsea’s midfield, is expected to depart the club in the summer. Real Madrid is a possible destination for the Frenchman
The Spanish publication Fichajes reports that Real Madrid is among the teams interested in buying Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante. He may leave the club during the summer transfer season.
Kante is one of the top midfielders in the world. He represented France at the 2018 World Cup. The Frenchman originally gained prominence at Leicester City. Then he played a key part in the club’s stunning Premier League championship success in 2015/16. Chelsea did not waste any time in acquiring the midfielder. He went on to win another Premier League championship in his first season with the club.
As a result, Kante has amassed an impressive collection of trophies. This includes the FIFA World Cup and the UEFA Europa League, as well as the Champions League, the Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup. He has clearly established himself as one of the most successful midfielders of our generation. He is 31 years old and will be approaching the last year of his contract this summer. Kante has been dealing with some fitness issues of late.
It has now prompted concern about his long-term future at Stamford Bridge beyond the current season. Numerous major teams around Europe are keeping an eye on the situation. The report states that Real Madrid is one of the teams showing interest in pulling N’Golo Kante away from Chelsea during the forthcoming transfer window.
What will the Los Blancos decide?
Los Blancos are on the lookout for reinforcements in the centre of the park. Luka Modric and Toni Kroos are both reaching the end of their respective careers. Furthermore, there is no natural backup for Casemiro in the team. This is a concern that Carlo Ancelotti hopes to rectify the next summer. It has resulted in speculation about several quality midfielders, including Paul Pogba, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Fabian Ruiz, amongst other players.
Tchouameni remains Real Madrid’s top priority in terms of bolstering the midfield department. But Kante has emerged as a possible replacement. Although it seems unlikely, should the opportunity to get the Frenchman at a reasonable price present itself, the La Liga leaders may consider making a move for him soon.
Paris Saint-Germain, on the other hand, is expected to be a major competitor in the chase of the 31-year-old, despite recent rumours claiming that Kante has already turned down an offer to join the club at Parc des Princes. It remains to be seen what the future holds for the FIFA World Cup champion. However, if he chooses to leave Chelsea, he will have little trouble finding a new club to call home.
