Mike Arteta was very impressed with Odegaard’s performance and clarified his stance that he wanted the Norwegian permanently settled at Emirates. Arsenal wanted to extend Odegaard’s loan spell at the club, but Carlo Ancelotti believes that he can be a valuable addition to the Real firepower. However, the Real management has also made it clear that in case if Odegaard can bring a good swap or purchase deal, Los Merengues can let him depart.

Going by the words of ABC, Ancelotti has spoken with Odegaard that he is a part of his plans but he won’t be getting regular game time as he will be playing second fiddle to Toni Kroos, Luka Modrić and Casemiro.

As per the reports, Odegaard is not really certain about his offing at Santiago Bernabéu and wants out from Madrid to be taken under the wing of Arteta as he is quite assured of many more minutes at the Emirates.

ABC’s reports state that Arsenal is still to submit an official bid to Real Madrid wherein Los Galacticos has submitted a demand of 50 million Euros (£42.7 million) plus the buyback option as a part of the transfer deal.

Even in June, Odegaard expressed his desire to be at Madrid, but he wanted t get a lot more game time instead of warming the bench. With Real Madrid teeming with a lot of promising midfielders who boast of much more impressive credentials, Odegaard won’t really have it easy. However, his presence will be very valued at the Emirates, given his promising outings for Arsenal in the preceding season.
