Leicester City believes the English international is a possible successor to Luka Modric. He is worth about €80 million.
Ever since joining Leicester City from Norwich City in July 2018, James Maddison has grown in stature and ability to contribute. The 25-year-old has established himself as one of the most prolific players in the Premier League during the previous three and a half seasons. And he has had a productive season thus far in 2021/22. He has scored 13 goals and provided seven assists in 40 games across all competitions.
A magnificent display against Brentford last weekend may have cemented his place in the English national team’s hierarchy. The English international is also gaining in importance inside his own country. While all this is going on, it seems that Maddison has attracted the interest of Real Madrid.
Real Madrid will want to sign a creative midfielder in the summer transfer window. The reason for this is that Dani Ceballos and Isco have unclear futures at the Santiago Bernabeu.
