With a variety of players to choose from ahead of this game week, we look at the 3 Players You Can Select As Captains For Gameweek 6.

#3 Michail Antonio (West Ham United)

At just 7.9M, Michail Antonio has proved to be a bargain this season. After having a successful end to the previous season too, he started this one with flying colours as well as the striker has provided three double-figure hauls already. Four goals and four assists for the Jamaican have also made him the joint top scorer alongside Bruno Fernandes and Mohamed Salah.

Michail faces a very unbalanced defensive team in Leeds United who have had the worst xGC (expected goals conceded) in the league this season. With Ayling out of contention for the match, Leeds will look unsettled in the defence this week. This provides Michail Antonio the perfect opportunity to bag a goal or two after having a week’s rest.

#2 Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)

A player which has been every fantasy manager’s go-to player for seasons now is Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian King has been in world-class form lately as he has scored four times this season in just 5 games and has also assisted twice in the process. The Liverpool winger has also blanked just once this season and is always considered to be a perfect captaincy pick, especially against newly-promoted sides.

All this being said and done, the only hurdle he will face this week will be Brentford’s rigid defence which hasn’t allowed many goals this season. In fact, they are only second to former champions Manchester City in terms of xG (expected goals) and big chances conceded. But all this shouldn’t stop the likes of Jota, Alexander-Arnold, and Mane to provide an abundance of goal-scoring opportunities for Mohamed Salah.

#1 Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United)

The most expensive player in the game right now, and rightly so is Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United. The forward has come all guns blazing as he returned to the Theatre of Dreams this season and is in no mood to stop scoring anytime soon. Ever since he has started his first game for the Red Devils, no other player has had more goals on target or even penalty area touches.

In this list of 3 Players You Can Select As Captains For Gameweek 6, Cristiano is the lone player who plays at home this game week. A point that is to be noted here is that he will have that extra boost of the fans behind him as Manchester United face Aston Villa this weekend. With the immense stats Cristiano has provided us this season so far, he is surely expected to have a big haul this game week.
