With the blockbuster Euro 2020 finally coming to a head that witnessed Turkey being dismantled by a soaring Italy in the opener, Real Madrid is making this tournament the bird’s eye to bolster their reinforcements.
As Barcelona has always managed to land Sergio Aguero, Eric Garcia and Emerson Royal in a bid to plug the gaping holes that the preceding season witnessed for them, Real had to start from the very scratch as they brought back Carlo Ancelotti for a second stint after a trophyless season at Bernabeu.
Madrid has been hot on the heels of Jules Kounde, Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to better their condition in the imminent transfer window. However, all three of their prime targets seem to be out of their reach and the transfer window is getting increasingly frustrating for Los Blancos.
The Italian manager has now zeroed on in a couple of Bayern talents, one of which is the aspiring Jamal Musiala and the new man under Madrid’s radar is the electrifying Lewandowski.
Though nothing has really been confirmed, Lewandowski has dropped an inkling at a potential desire to change his club. According to the Spanish outlet, AS, Lewa has wished a change in his career which may fascinate Madrid to pour in a good deal of amount behind the Polish marksman.
Real Madrid may have their hopes now boosted for Lewandowski
Quoting to Canal+, Lewa cited, “I still have an open mind, and I feel good at Bayern, Munich is a wonderful city and it’s a massive club. I have, however always had curiosity to pick up a new language and experience a new culture but I don’t know if that is something that will happen during my playing career or later in life.”
Madrid has been heavily linked with a potential onboarding of a star-player to paper over their attacking woes. With Mbappe slowly becoming a mirage, it won’t be a surprising move if Real goes head on in the pursuit of Lewa.
Madrid has also announced the signing of David Alaba which will be a significant boost for their defence. Alaba was sensational for Bayern Munich and will add considerable speed to the Real defence.
