JUST IN: AC Milan Has Come Up With A Strong Offer For Another Real Madrid Star
According to reports, Serie A winners AC Milan are showing interest in Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos
AC Milan, the reigning champions of Serie A, is reportedly keeping an eye on the issue involving Real Madrid player Dani Ceballos. Real Betis, who are getting ready to make a bid for the 25-year-old midfielder, is another team that has been linked with a move for the player.
Ceballos came up through the junior ranks of Real Betis and made the switch to Real Madrid in the summer transfer window of 2017. Despite this, the midfielder has been unable to establish himself as a regular starter at the club, and in 2019, he was loaned out to Arsenal for the duration of two seasons.
Since his return to Madrid, not much has changed, as he still spends most of his time on the bench rather than on the field of play. Ceballos only played in 17 games across all competitions during the most recent season, which Los Blancos used to win three trophies. However, this was partially because Ceballos was dealing with a long-term ankle ailment at that time.
Real Betis have been keeping tabs on the Real Madrid midfielder since the summer of last year. The player, who is 25 years old and has only one more year left on his contract, may decide that now is the ideal moment to move on. Betis are sure that they will be able to finalize the player’s signing, with Los Verdiblancos director Antonio Cordon revealing that Ceballos is ‘dying’ to join Real Betis. Betis are also convinced that they will be able to complete the player’s signing.
“I happened to run into him at the Bernabeu. As a result, we came face to face and exchanged pleasantries. This is the same as everything else, and we all know that he cannot wait to see Betis. His connection to this city, to these supporters, and this club is enormous… You can’t say anything more about him since he plays for Real Madrid,” Antonio Cordon said.
What’s next for Dani Ceballos?
However, Betis will need to fight off interest from AC Milan to be successful. Given the positive connection that exists between the Rossoneri and Real Madrid, it is reasonable to anticipate that any future discussions will go without a hitch. The Serie A champions have maintained their interest in the midfielder during the winter months and even attempted to capture him during the January transfer window.
Ceballos is now holding out hope that Carlo Ancelotti will soon address the future of Ceballos’s role at Real Madrid and whether or not the Italian has a place for him in his plans moving forward. For the time being, he is scheduled to begin the preseason with Los Blancos, and a decision on his future is likely to be made soon. Real Madrid may want a sum anywhere between 15 and 20 million euros to let Ceballos go.
