REPORTS: Barcelona Star to leave Camp Nou If Cesar Azpilicueta Comes To Barca

Barcelona News Transfer: There will be significant changes made to Barcelona’s defensive unit soon. It is anticipated that several defenders would leave the club over the next summer, with Clement Lenglet and Samuel Umtiti having already been told to do so.

As Xavi prepares to undergo a significant transformation, Oscar Mingueza and Neto Murara may follow the two Frenchmen out of the club. According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona is also reportedly considering the possibility of releasing Sergino Dest.

Even while the American’s play has unquestionably improved since Xavi took over as his coach, his future at Camp Nou is not at all certain. The Catalan club views him as a reliable alternative to play right back.

The teenager has become much more dependable. Because of his ability to function on either wing, he is now serving as a backup for the left-back position held by Jordi Alba.

However, since Barcelona has been widely connected with a deal for Cesar Azpilicueta, there is a potential that Dest may be permitted to walk on and find other clubs.

The right-back position is one of the positions that the Chelsea fullback is being considered for at the club. The fact that he can play in any position across the defense should provide Xavi with the required flexibility that he demands from his players.

The coach of Barcelona, on the other hand, has not ruled out the potential that both players will remain with the club. After all, Dest is a far more attack-minded alternative at right-back. He is also much more natural at left-back than Azpilicueta is at the position of left-back.

The retention of both Azpilicueta and Dest, on the other hand, might virtually rule out any future for Dani Alves. His current contract at Camp Nou is scheduled to expire in the summer.
