They are currently sitting at the second place in the La Liga points table. Having played six games so far, they managed to win 5 games and played out for a draw just once, piling up 16 points out of the possible 18.

Although they lost to Bayern Munich by 2-0 at Alliance Arena, they drew plaudits for their collective rhythm which were seen in certain areas. It also gave the fans a huge hint that revival is happening smoothly and started to trust the process.

If they manage to keep up their momentum and channelize their aggression in the right manner, they would be destined for greatness. It would be quite interesting to see where they would end up in the table at the end of the season.

Manchester City wants to renew Ilkay Gundogan’s contract

Meanwhile, in the latest development, Barcelona had an opportunity to recruit the services of Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan in the summer transfer window. Moreover, they were even interested to bring the former Borussia Dortmund player at Camp Nou.

However, the move couldn’t materialize. Popular journalist Fabrizio Romano said he is pretty much confident that Barcelona, German clubs or even English clubs will try their best to sign the experienced midfielder in the next summer. As things stand, it seems that Manchester City wants to renew the midfielder’s contract.
