In 2004, when he was only six years old, Tammy Abraham entered the Chelsea youth program and has since graduated from the program. The English national moved quickly through the ranks at Cobham before going professional more than five years ago. Although he spent a few seasons with Chelsea’s first squad, his time with the Blues was not very beneficial.

Will it be a good signing?

The 25-year-old’s improvement since joining AS Roma in August 2021 has been consistent. Abraham was terrific last season, but he has been quiet so far this year. Moreover, he has underperformed with just five goals and two assists in 23 games played. However, Real Madrid and other major teams are still interested in signing the player.

When the summer transfer window opens, Los Blancos will undoubtedly want to add a striker to their roster. The reason is, Karim Benzema has had some health concerns this season. And after the 2022-23 season, it’s expected that Mariano Diaz will also depart Real Madrid. With Mariano’s departure, the Spanish defending champions will have a vacancy to fill.

Since Endrick won’t be joining Real Madrid until July 2024, the club needs to find a replacement for Benzema and a backup for Endrick. As a result, the Merengues are targeting several strikers, including Marcus Thuram. As a further option, Real Madrid may go for Tammy Abraham.

It’s possible that the 25-year-old English striker has not had a good 2022/23 season. But he has shown that he can carry the load when his teammates step up their game. As a result of moving to Real Madrid, Abraham will undoubtedly benefit from a stronger supporting cast. However, Los Blancos will face heavy competition if they want to sign the AS Roma forward.

There are several Premier League teams interested in signing Abraham, including Arsenal and Chelsea. It will be intriguing to see whether Real Madrid can outbid the English clubs in the summer for the services of the 25-year-old English striker.
