‘So, We Are Going To Sell Frenkie For €85M And Buy Bernado For €100M’- Twitter Reacts As Barca Makes First Informal Contact With Manchester City For Silva

Pep Guardiola has moulded Silva into one of the finest midfielders in the Premier League since his move from AS Monaco. He has been always present in the midfield trident consisting of De Bruyne and Rodri.

However, Guardiola has been experimenting with his line-up numerous times over the past few seasons. Because of this Silva has to make space for Gundogan in a few matches. Manchester City is also looking to sign a new midfielder which could further worsen the condition.

The board is trying to convince Bernardo Silva to sign a new contract but he wants to try a new challenge somewhere else. He feels that Barcelona could be the best place for him as he always dreamt of playing there.

Currently, the player has not talked about anything regarding this transfer. However, this doesn’t mean that there are no talks ongoing between the two clubs.

Manchester City will sell Silva for £50m. Anything else is just unacceptable for the club at this moment.

Barcelona News Transfer: What’s Next For Bernardo Silva as Barcelona Move Looms Close?

Xavi admires Bernardo Silva due to his consistent midfield dominance over the years. Last season, the 27-year-old attacking midfielder scored 13 goals and provided four assists as well.

Silva pairs extremely well with Kevin De Bruyne which shows that he is more than capable of replicating the same relationship with Pedri at Barcelona. However, Manchester City should help the midfielder in sorting out his future by acting swiftly.

Bernardo Silva needs to head to the preseason with a clear objective in his mind. Either he needs to sign a new contract and stay at Man City for years or establish a new life at Barcelona.

As reports state, Barcelona need funds to provide £50m to Manchester City and that is only possible if they make a major sale this summer. Realistically they could get that sum by selling Frenkie De Jong to Manchester United for £80m.
