‘Tough Competition For Him’- Lazio And AC Milan Want An Arsenal Star This Summer

Pablo Mari has played in the Serie A before, as he was loaned to Udinese last season. The 28-year-old defender played just three games for Arsenal in the first half of the 2021/22 season. Because of this, he was loaned out to Udinese.

However, he impressed everyone with his performances in the Serie A. His presence in the starting XI was a huge bonus for the Italian club. They were able to collect 20 points in his 15 appearances. He even scored two goals in that limited amount of games.

By looking at his progress, even other clubs are now interested to sign Pablo Mari this summer. Lazio’s Maurizio Sarri is keen on bringing Gunner’s center-back to Italy while AC Milan is also keeping close tabs on him.

Arsenal had signed Mari for £14m and it’s now unclear about their asking price at this moment. However, they would not resist selling him for the right offer.

Pablo Mari has a contract running until 2024 with Arsenal. However, his future at the club is uncertain due to the competition in the squad. Last year, Arsenal signed Ben White from Brighton which made things worse for Mari.

Already, Mari has been facing stiff competition from Gabriel, Rob Holding, Ben White, and Takehiro Tomiyasu. It would be good for him to find a new club to crawl back into the starting XI.

Currently, it seems that anything close to £10m would be fine to let him leave and Arsenal will accept that fee. It is a known fact that the Serie A has already helped a lot of Premier League outcasts to flourish on their soil.
