Fulham paid over £20 million to bring in Joao Palhinha, and the move has paid dividends for the London club. The Portuguese international has adjusted to life in the Premier League with the ease of a duck to water. This season, he has scored three goals for the team’s league.

The 27-year-old is now one of the most trustworthy defensive midfielders in the league. He’d be a great asset for Liverpool. Fabinho, a Brazilian midfielder, has been terrible this season, and Jurgen Klopp needs new players badly.

It remains to be seen whether Fulham will allow a crucial player to depart in the middle of the season. The London club is well-funded and under no obligation to offload Palhinha in the new year.
