Which team can Arsenal face in the next round of the Carabao Cup?

Arsenal’s potential Carabao Cup quarter-final opponents are Brentford, Chelsea, Leicester, Liverpool, Sunderland, Tottenham, and David Moyes’s West Ham United. The tournament will see a new winner for the first time in five years after West Ham United defeated Manchester City in a thrilling penalty shoot-out.

Sunderland will certainly be the underdogs and ones to watch out for, as they are the lowest-ranked team amongst the 8 teams that remain in the tournament. Their manager, Lee Johnson commented that “I’d love to have Arsenal away or Tottenham away, or someone like that,” Johnson said. “Then we will wait for the really big guns when it is two legs.”

After having a fantastic start, the Gunners would certainly hope to continue their good form of run in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup as well. That being said, Arsenal now face Leicester City up next in the Premier League, as Mikel Arteta and his players eye a victory away from home.
