Mikel Arteta Gets Informed About Thomas Partey’s Return Date After Injury Layoff

Mikel Arteta will be concerned about the health of Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey as the season nears its conclusion. He was forced to leave the game against Crystal Palace due to a thigh injury.

He will be concerned about his likely layoff. The Spaniard is already expected to lose Kieran Tierney for the remainder of the season. The loss of Partey in the last few games of the season might be detrimental to the Gunners’ chances in the Premier League.

In response to questions about the midfielder’s injury during the game, Arteta said, “I don’t know [what the injury is]. But he felt something in the same region that he had previously hurt. So it’s a major worry.”

Partey has subsequently had a scan to determine the nature of the ailment. This comes at an inconvenient moment given his recent form. The quality of his performances has begun to improve after he said earlier in the season that he would give his Arsenal efforts a poor rating thus far.

“I give myself a four [out of ten] because there are times when I can really harm the opposing side. But there are also times when I allow myself to lose concentration. That’s when everything goes wrong. You will realise that you need to become better when this occurs,” he said to Sky Sports.

What will Mikel Arteta do?

Arsenal journalist Chris Wheatley of football.london has disclosed that the injury he sustained last season in the North London derby is exactly the same as the one he experienced this season. The information may provide Arteta with a general idea of when he will return.

The injury he sustained against Tottenham in December forced him to miss 36 days of play. This included 10 games during a hectic mid-season run. Assuming the timetable is similar, the Arsenal midfielder might return in time for the match against Tottenham Hotspur on May 12.

As a result, his injury timetable might cause the team to struggle through a vital run of fixtures before a potentially decisive match against Manchester United, Chelsea, and West Ham United.
