With the winter transfer window just ended, the rumours about the summer transfer have already begun. Surely, the coming window will be exciting with news of major clubs willing to splash more cash are coming up. One such news is Chelsea ready to sell their record signing Kepa Arrizabalaga if a suitable offer comes up. Worlds most expensive goalkeeper did have a good start at Chelsea but his performance dipped later. His conduct in the Carabao cup was intensely condemned by his administrator Sarri. His performance went such low that they had to sign Mendy from Rennes for 22 million pounds.

The recent performance by Kepa has been world-class, but still has no signs of being the first choice ahead of Mendy. Kepa helped Chelsea reach the Carabao Cup final with his world-class performance against Tottenham. Mendy who replaced Kepa in starting lineup is still Tuchel’s favourite. Kepa was used by Tuchel in the absence of Mendy. Mendy on other hand won African Cup with Senegal and was also crowned best goalkeeper. Kepa did well in the Club World Cup semifinal against Al Hilal.

Now that Mendy is back there are talks of him starting the finals of the Club World Cup ahead of Kepa against Palmeiras. Mendy is in Dubai with the Chelsea squad as Tuchel plans to start him. Tuchel will leave no stone against Palmeiras as Chelsea has never won Club World Cup and he’ll be looking to win it for the first time. Chelsea will have a long summer as their whole defence which includes Azpilcueta, Christensen and Rudiger will be out of contract in the summer. Apart, from this, there was unhappy Lukaku stated that he was unhappy at Chelsea.
As per reports from last year, Kepa was heavily linked to Juventus but those were the only rumours. With the world cup coming Kepa would love to start more games so as to be in the Spain squad for the FIFA World cup in Qatar. If Chelsea are ready to sell Kepa, their record signing, they will have to take a huge loss.
