Currently, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, and Newcastle United are all in the race to sign the Manchester City striker. Jesus has just one year left on his contract and would be available for a fee of around £60m.

However, Tottenham has the edge of offering Champions League football to the striker. Newcastle United could offer more wages than other teams. However, Arsenal could convince Jesus through Mikel Arteta who has previously worked with the manager at Man City.

Alexander Lacazette has already left Arsenal whereas, Nketiah is still young to play regularly. This will help Gabriel Jesus to feature regularly and build himself further in his career.

As things stand, Tottenham has not given up the hope to land him and Antonio Conte is a big fan of the Brazilian. However, with Son and Kane already being the key players for Tottenham, it isn’t easy to see Jesus featuring in and out of the starting XI.

Pep Guardiola hasn’t used Gabriel Jesus regularly as he has a habit of changing his line-up quite often. Manchester City will reportedly include add-ons to any deal.

Arsenal News Transfer: What Did Jack Wilshere Say About Arsenal’s chances of Landing Gabriel Jesus?

He said: “He has a year left on his contract. They could get him cheaper if they hold out. I’ve done that before, you get more money that way, it’s a fact. That’s why the players do it.  I think Tottenham are waiting to sign Gabriel Jesus. Even Newcastle would look to snap him up but I would love to see Jesus signing for Arsenal.”

Wilshere expects Gabriel Jesus to run down his contract and sign for the Gunners as Mikel Arteta is familiar with his playing style. He could certainly have the extra edge of playing for a manager who knows him so well.

Although he would miss the Champions League he could get regular minutes to play and also be a part of an interesting project at Arsenal.
