Real Madrid Reveal Stance On Luka Jovic

Los Blancos Have Finally Opened Up On Their Stance On The Striker

Luka Jovic is once again linked with a January departure from Real Madrid. It is similar to what happened around this time last year, when he returned to Eintracht Frankfurt on loan. He has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu right through the current transfer window. Despite that, there are some issues arising now, which may change that.

It appears that Karim Benzema’s hamstring injury suffered over the weekend has put a stop to any potential departure. Real Madrid doesn’t want only Mariano Diaz left as an alternative up top. Karim Benzema missed a prolonged period due to the second injury he picked up in as many weeks. This was after his injury away at Real Sociedad on December 4.

In Carlo Ancelotti’s hierarchy, Jovic is ahead of Mariano. But the 24-year-old has struggled to exert enough pressure on Karim Benzema this season. He has scored only one goal and provided two assists in 15 appearances. This is something that has been a major issue. Los Blancos is keen on regaining European glory. To win big matches, Carlo Ancelotti was appointed in the first place.

Luka Jovic is a target for Arsenal, as they look to resolve their issues upfront

Rumours ciruclated on Tuesday morning that Arsenal wants Jovic. The Gunners have a good relationship with Real Madrid. Arsenal wants to get the deal done before the close of the transfer window on Monday, January 31. The Daily Mail reported it.

However, no one at Real Madrid has received an offer for Jovic, the club’s internal consensus is that now is not the time to part ways with the Serbia international, regardless of the circumstances.

Jovic has failed to make an impression at Real Madrid since his 63 million euro transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2019. It is predicted that his time in the Spanish capital will come to an end in the summer of 2022. This is because he has failed to do anything substantial so far. The player wants to change that and is putting in the effort.

While waiting for that to happen, Jovic will continue to offer all he has for the team. He is working hard to establish himself as Ancelotti’s go-to player. However, he will only get the opportunity to play when Benzema needs rest or when the Frenchman is injured. He wants to remain at Real Madrid even though he is not getting regular minutes with the club.

He is as a resounding failure in Madrid, as per the verdict of the fanbase so far. Especially, given the hefty price tag of €60m paid by Los Blancos for the teenage striker in the summer of 2019. Carlo Ancelotti is doing all he can to integrate Jovic into the group consistently. It is difficult to see as Karim Benzema has been so effective in front of goal this season.
