“The jail had iPad TV”, Jose Mourinho Pulls Off Another Antique After Being Banished From The Sidelines

In an intriguing development, Roma boss, Jose Mourinho pulled off another antique as he finished serving the first out of his two-match moratorium after getting involved in a verbal scuffle with the officials. Things took a diabolical turn after Roma shared the spoils of war with an undercooked Hellas Verona as Mourinho charged at the incumbents.

Mourinho caught up with all the action from the team bus as one of his coaches quoted, “the jail had iPad TV”, keeping him in touch with the game.

This is what happened between Jose Mourino and the officials

The incident unspooled on February 19th where Roma and Hellas Verona played out a 2-2 draw after a lackluster encounter. Antonin Barak and Adrien Tameze found the back of the net for Verona in the first half. Cristian Volpato and Bove restored parity for a trailing Roma who was downright short of the gas throughout the game.

However, the Giallorossi managed to eke out a hard-fought win against a depleted Spezia away from home as Tammy Abraham banged the ball into the back of the net from a last-minute spot-kick.

Mourinho was given the option to sit in the VIP box at Stadio Alberto Pico, however, the Portuguese manager chose to reside in the team bus alongside goalkeeping coach, Nuno Santos and closely monitor his team.

Santos posted an image of the Special One very deeply engrossed in his team’s action who was laced with a standing Tiago Pinto, the director of the team. The Roma preceptor tagged Mourinho in the post and penned a hilarious caption, citing, “The jail had iPad TV.”

Jose Mourinho will be out of action when Roma hosts Atalanta on March 5th. They are currently stationed in the sixth position of the points table, however, a win over Atlanta can propel them in the top five.

Mourinho will be returning to the sidelines when Roma takes on Vitesse in the first leg of their round 16 tie on March 10th. This is not the first time that Mourinho has caught the attention of the officials for the wrong reasons. He grabbed the limelight a couple of weeks back when he reprimanded his team with exceptionally strong language that went viral.

A major factor that has dented Roma in the ongoing season has been the lack of their firepower. Despite a rock-solid defence, their attacking unit has failed to return decent results and the team’s struggles with mediocrity continue.
