‘Sell Or Loan’- Real Madrid Decide Terms And Conditions Regarding The Future Of One Of Their Young Player

Real Madrid News Transfer: As revealed by journalist Jorge Picon, Real Madrid is debating whether to sell Takefusa Kubo or sell him this summer. The promising young attacker was signed for free by Real Madrid in 2019.

He was also dubbed as the ‘Japanese Messi’ during that time and they were a lot of talks regarding his potential. He impressed in the preseason and was then loaned out to Mallorca. Under manager Vicente Moreno, he earned his way into the starting XI.

He was a key player for the Spanish side as his offensive threat hugely benefitted the team. Kubo was one of the top creators in La Liga with a very high number of chances created as well as his excellent passes into the final third.

The year 2019-20 was a blessing for him as his performances drew the attention of a number of teams. Clubs like Bayern Munich, Villarreal, and Ajax wanted to get Kubo on loan to help him continue his development.

Eventually, Takefusa Kubo joined Villarreal on loan as he wanted to work under their manager Unai Emery. He was very highly regarded by the manager but he knew that Kubo needs to improve against bigger opponents and provide the end-product while attacking.

Real Madrid News Transfer:  Villarreal Move Didn’t Go As Per Takefusa Kubo’s Plans

Kubo wished to progress well with the Spanish side but the pressure was too much for him to handle. Villarreal wanted Kubo to work on his final ball, but Kubo’s performance started dipping.

He was soon benched by Unai Emery and he started losing faith. Unai Emery limited his game time and provided more chances to academy graduate, Yeremy.

Kubo should have stayed and fought for his place on the team, but he optioned to leave the club. He soon joined Getafe in the January transfer window. But again he gave in some mixed performances with the Spanish side.

Real Madrid finally made a decision to loan him out for the fourth time in 2021. He returned to Real Mallorca, but this time to play under the new coach, Luis Garcia Plaza. However, Kubo’s dismal form and Mallorca’s poor run in the league further impacted his progress. So now the club is deciding whether to loan him again this year or sell him for the right price.

They are ready to offload him if they receive an offer of around £20-25m for the Japanese attacker. Also, there has been a debate among the club’s board members as they feel that Kubo should be sold for a cheaper price with a buy-back option included in the deal.

This could eventually help Real Madrid, as they could bring him back if he develops himself well at other clubs.
