Real Madrid Players That May Not Be Available For The El Clasico

If three Real Madrid players are penalised with a yellow card in Monday’s match against Mallorca, they will be suspended from the Clasico at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

Eder Militao, Casemiro, and Ferland Mendy are all on the verge of suffering suspension in LaLiga Santander before the match against Barcelona.

For Carlo Ancelotti, the situation is concerning. He is riding high after his side’s Champions League triumph against Paris Saint-Germain.

There is the possibility of leaving the three out of the trip to Mallorca. But Ancelotti is concerned about the effect of being out of action for two weeks on the team’s overall performance.

Casemiro and Mendy did not participate against PSG. Their absence might be utilised to rest some of the players who did play against the French club. One such player is Luka Modrić. Eduardo Camavinga has a chance to get into the starting lineup.

In preparation for their match against Mallorca this evening, Real Madrid has flown to the Balearic Islands. But according to a report by Marca, Eder Militao was not on the aircraft. The Brazilian is suffering from a cold. It has caused him to miss out on his night’s sleep and is thus unavailable.

Even if it is not a major concern, Carlo Ancelotti can afford to give Militao the night off since he is otherwise in good condition. He wants him to rest before next Sunday’s El Clasico against Barcelona. The match will take place at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid has the chance to extend their lead at the top of the table

Following Sevilla’s 1-1 draw with Rayo Vallecano on Sunday, Real Madrid can move 10 points ahead of Sevilla at the top of La Liga if they defeat Mallorca this evening. Likely, they will still be on a high after their comeback victory against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday. They will be aiming to keep the momentum going.

It seemed like Real Madrid would be eliminated from the UEFA Champions League until the 60th minute of the second leg match against Paris Saint-Germain in the Round of 16. However, the sluggish Donnarumma handed Los Blancos a path to victory on a silver platter. Karim Benzema gratefully took with both arms to restore parity in PSG’s one-goal advantage in the 61st minute. As a result of the goal, Real Madrid had complete control of the contest. They had the support of the Bernabéu supporters, who remained as fervent as always.

The club overcame a two-goal deficit in the closing 30 minutes of the second leg. A period in which only one team participated, according to manager Carlo Ancelotti, by putting out their best performances.
