In his formative years, Gonzalo Sosa spent most of his time at Racing Club de Avellaneda, and he is generally considered as one of the most promising young players in Argentina. Despite the fact that he is just 16 years old, the juvenile prodigy is already a member of the club’s under-20 squad.

Sosa has been the subject of speculation since news of Real Madrid’s interest in him leaked in June

Sosa, who plays mostly as an attacking midfielder, is admired for his vision and ability to see teammates in tight places. The Argentine whizkid has also been compared to the renowned Juan Roman Riquelme, who was born in the same city. So much so that the child has drawn the attention of some of the greatest teams in Europe, including Real Madrid, as a consequence of his performances.

Sosa has been the subject of speculation since news of Real Madrid’s interest in him leaked in June, and according to a report by Defensa Central, Los Blancos have been keeping an eye on his development ever since. It has also been reported that the Spanish giants had officials stationed in Argentina to constantly follow his development and speak with his agent, Martin Sendoa, among other things.

The 16-year-old has acquired the nickname ‘El Talentoso,’ which translates to ‘The Talented One’ in his own country, and Sendoa has even stated Real Madrid is interested in signing him to a contract. And knowing the mindset of the Merengues under Florentino Perez’s tenure as club president, the interest in Sosa is not unexpected.

Real Madrid have been connected with a number of Brazilian players recently

Real Madrid has been on the search for some of the best young players from all around the globe for some time, first integrating them into the club’s junior system before promoting them to the first-team squad. Such a mindset has resulted in the acquisition of current first-team regulars Federico Valverde, Vinicius Jr., and Rodrygo Goes, among others.

Real Madrid has been connected with a number of Brazilian players recently, including Gabriel Pereira, Gustavo Silva, Talles Magno, and Renyer, although Silva does not exactly match the same profile as the other three. And it seems as if Sosa will be the next outstanding prospect to sign a contract with Real Madrid.

Real Madrid will be the first team to sign him, beating out PSG, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and Manchester United to the prize. Will be intriguing to see if Sosa can follow in the footsteps of Vinicius, Valverde, and other promising young players.
