Real Madrid and FC Barcelona lock horns for the €80 million rated signing

Reputable German journalist Kerry Hau reports that Barcelona and Real Madrid have long been interested in signing Joshua Kimmich. Both of La Liga’s powerhouse clubs are interested in acquiring the versatile Bayern Munich player. The player is worth about €80 million, but the Bundesliga champions are not interested in selling him.

Since moving to Bayern Munich from VfB Stuttgart in July 2015, Joshua Kimmich’s stock and market value has skyrocketed. The 28-year-old had the potential to become an elite midfielder and was now a good right back. And Pep Guardiola helped him develop into a world-class holding midfielder by unlocking his potential.

The German midfielder is a world-class performer, in the mould of Bayern Munich’s great Philipp Lahm. In the meantime, his worth has increased to €80 million since we first heard of him eight years ago. And other major teams, like Barcelona and Real Madrid, have taken notice of Kimmich’s development.

Reportedly valued at €80 million, Bayern Munich utility player Joshua Kimmich is a target for both Barcelona and Real Madrid

Kerry Hau has said that he is wanted by both Barcelona and Real Madrid. It’s hardly shocking that two of the best teams in La Liga would want to sign Kimmich. This is due to problems in the midfield and at right back for both Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Even if Barcelona still hasn’t found a replacement for Dani Alves after almost a decade, they’ll lose Sergio Busquets to another team this summer. Because of his similar skill set, Kimmich may easily replace the veteran Barcelona midfielder. In addition, he has the potential to solve Blaugrana’s right-back problem for the foreseeable future.

The reigning La Liga winners Real Madrid had previously attempted to sign Kimmich. Real Madrid will need a world-class midfielder as the careers of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos draw to a close. Although he can fill in for Dani Carvajal at right back, his strengths lie in the centre of the field.
