Goalkeeper – Bernd Leno

Since the arrival of Aaron Ramsdale this summer, Bernd Leno has made just 3 appearances in the league for the Gunners and conceded 9 times in the process. To say the least, it has not been the best season for the German but he will be looking to get his place back in the squad as he makes way into Arteta’s side which will face Leeds.

Defenders – Nuno Tavares, Holding, Mari, Cedric

Putting on a fantastic display against Villa on Monday, Nuno Tavares has already established himself as a fan favourite. Tierney made way for Tavares as the Scottish left-back suffered an injury and was ruled out of the game. Nuno will be looking to have another great game as we look at the probable starting XI for Arsenal against Leeds United.

The duo of Rob Holding and Pablo Mari has been sidelined since the arrival of the marquee signing, Ben White. Both of them last appeared for the Gunners versus Manchester City where they had a horrific game. Although, a good game against Leeds United can change their fortunes.

Like other defenders at Arsenal, Cedric has been neglected as well due to the new incoming at the club. Tomiyasu has well and truly established himself as the primary right-back at the club, but he will be rested against Leeds and Cedric will have a chance to prove himself as well.

Midfield – Maitland-Niles, Elneny, Odegaard

The duo of Maitland-Niles and Elneny in the midfield will reportedly be used by Arteta against Leeds United. Maitland-Niles has been previously used as a midfielder many a time, his agility and crossing will provide a massive boost in the midfield as the Gunners look to proceed to the next round of the Carabao Cup.
After missing out on the game against Villa, Martin Odegaard looks all set to start on Tuesday night. The 22-year-old was left out by Mikel as Smith-Rowe started in his place and had a fantastic game as he bagged a goal and an assist. Odegaard needs a massive performance against Leeds to earn his place back in the squad.

Forwards – Martinelli, Nketiah, Pepe

Like other youngsters at Arsenal, Gabriel Martinelli is a star in the making as well. The Brazilian winger’s ability to dribble past opponents and his rapid speed have made him a fantastic winger as he will be looking to impress the gaffer and earn a place in the first squad.
Eddie Nketiah missed out on the action in the initial stages of the season due to an injury. But the comeback was louder than the setback as he struck a fantastic returning goal against AFC Wimbledon in the 3rd round of the Carabao Cup and will be looking to replicate the same on Tuesday night as well.
Another pacey dribbler with an eye for the goal is Nicolas Pepe. While his season so far has been less than average, but like many players, the game against Leeds is a chance to redeem himself as Arsenal’s primary right-winger.
