‘He was Liverpool’s finest player, they will miss him now’-Michail Antonio feels that Liverpool will miss Sadio Mane this season

Liverpool News: Michail Antonio, a striker for West Ham United, has expressed his opinion that Sadio Mane was Liverpool’s finest player in the previous campaign. After six very productive seasons at Anfield, during which he amassed a total of 120 goals in 269 appearances across all competitions, the attacker, now 30 years old, decided to leave the club.

Because he scored 23 goals and supplied five assists for the team coached by Jurgen Klopp in the previous season’s 51 matches, Mane will unquestionably be a significant loss for the future season. During an appearance on the Footballer’s Football Podcast, Hammers striker Antonio shared the following message with Reds fan Rickie Haywood Williams (as Rousing The Kop reported):

“I’m curious, how do you feel about the fact that Mané left? Mané was Liverpool’s finest player, in my opinion, and I’m going to say that right now. In general, he was Liverpool’s most valuable player!”

Liverpool News: Will Liverpool miss Sadio Mane?

During his tenure with the Merseyside club, the Senegalese international won every major trophy that was available, including the team’s first league title in thirty years in the year 2020.

Mane not only won the African Cup of Nations for his country earlier this year but also led his team to qualify for the World Cup with his game-winning penalty kick in that tournament.

The forward signed with Bayern Munich (Transfermarkt). His most recent outing for the Reds was in the Champions League final loss to Real Madrid from the previous season.

The Reds won their first game of the season, the Community Shield, against Manchester City by a score of 3-1, and it didn’t seem like they missed Mane at all.

A new record signing for £85 million has been made. Although Darwin Nunez has begun his tenure with the club, Joleon Lescott believes that the Reds will struggle without Mane this season.
