Former Real Madrid and Everton star James Rodriguez set to join Greek Giants Olympiacos

James Rodriguez is all set to start a new chapter in Greece as he is set to join Greek Giants Olympiacos on loan from Qatar Stars League Al-Rayyan, as reported by renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano. As per the latest update, the two football clubs have seemingly reached an agreement over the loan of the former Real Madrid star.

The Colombian playmaker has already jetted off to Greece to proceed with other important things that are required to complete the lone move. He has apparently travelled to Greece to undergo a medical and if everything goes as per plan, then his arrival at Greek champions Olympiacos should be about to happen.

The Colombian international has delivered the goods as a midfielder, creating clear-cut chances and scoring stunners, whenever it mattered the most. He has had a productive journey in the sport so far and will be looking forward to creating more milestones in the near future.

James Rodriguez set to leave

The 31-year-old drew praises from across quarters during his stint with FC Porto and AS Monaco. In addition, he had a fabulous outing at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil where he scored six goals for the Colombian national team. In the wake of his stellar performances, Real Madrid purchased his services.

However, James didn’t stay long there, especially upon French great Zinedine Zidane’s arrival. Ever since he changed the formation at Real Madrid, James Rodriguez had to make room for defensive midfielder Casemiro who restored defensive balance to the team.

He was then sent to German giants Bayern Munich on loan where he had a decent outing. After that, he left Spanish giants Real Madrid for Everton as a free agent. Al-Rayyan came and acquired his services where the midfielder made 15 appearances for the club across all competitions. He netted 5 goals and provided 7 assists in his colourful career.
